Aparicio-Bailey, a transfer from Oak Mountain, is No. 8 in ’ composite rankings of the state’s class of 2027 and committed to Clemson in June. The four-star safety earned 2025 Alabama Sports Writers Association 7A first-team all-state honors after recording 40 tackles, four interceptions, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and four pass breakups. “Jayden is rated as the state’s top safety,” Lions coach Bobby Carr said. “Jayden is as good as it gets. He had 40-plus offers, and he came down to Georgia and Clemson, and he just chose Clemson. He felt like it was the best fit for him. High-academic guy. Going to graduate early. Jayden, it doesn’t matter if you’re a younger guy or an older guy — you’re going to feel good about who you are when you’re around him. He’s a special kid. He does everything well on the football field. You don’t see many 6-foot-2, 6-foot-3 defensive backs run and move like him. He is special. Very, very high football IQ, too.”
