The 6-foot-1, 205-pound linebacker and athlete is a three-time state champion who recorded 54 tackles, nine tackles for loss, two sacks and an interception during Thompson’s 2025 title run. McCorvey is No. 28 in ’ composite rankings of the state’s class of 2027 and committed to Baylor in July. “One of the best athletes and all-around football players in the state,” Warriors coach Mark Freeman said. “He’s going into his third season as a starter and fourth as a contributor. He’s fast, physical and dynamic, and he plays the game with a high football IQ.”
