The 5-foot-11, 200-pound middle and outside linebacker has grown significantly over the past three years. “JD is a player who has always been very athletic, and now his development since freshman year has given him the size and speed to perform at a high level this year,” Vikings coach Alex Page said. “He can play both inside and outside ’backer. He has great coverage skills and can rush the passer. He has a natural instinct to be around the football and cause turnovers. JD is a great student and person. Anything he is asked to do, he works hard to go get it done.”
