Newman enters his final high school season as a two-year starter at free safety. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound defensive back also plays running back and recorded 17 solo tackles, 13 assists and two interceptions in 2025. “Ricardo is a physical safety who can roll into the box as a run stopper and is a savvy free safety that breaks on the ball well,” Warriors coach John Lambert said. “He is the leader of our secondary.”
