Season SummaryJoey Kallay eventually won the job following Burkett’s departure and led Franklin to the 2023 Division 1 state title game. Last season was Best’s debut as the signal-caller and he completed just over 58% of his passes, but finished the year with a solid 12-to-3 touchdown-to-interception ratio and 1,619 yards in another Southeast Conference title campaign. Best did a good job spreading the ball around in Drew Ambrose’s offense with five receivers tallying at least 13 catches in 2025. | The All-Southeast Conference first-team selection passed for 1,619 yards and 12 touchdowns as Franklin won the league title, advanced to the third round of the WIAA Division 1 playoffs, and finished the season with an 11-1 overall record.
